Four blue flags in Puerto del Carmen

In the island’s largest and most traditional tourist resort, Puerto del Carmen, blue flags have been flying since this week on four beaches: Playa Grande, Matagorda Beach, Playa Chica (Pila de la Barrilla) and Los Pocillos Beach..

In the community Yaiza the city beach in Playa Blanca was awarded, in the municipality of Teguise the beach Las Cucharas in Costa Teguise defends its blue flag

The seventh flag flies over El Reducto beach in the island’s capital Arrecife. A blue flag has been flying there every year since 2018.

An eighth flag for Puerto Calero

The private marina Puerto Calero was awarded in the category of harbours. The only port in Lanzarote to receive one of the Lanzarote blue flags.

The award will be presented again next year. We hope the number of flags can be maintained or increased.
