Taberna de Nino – my opinion … (imc)
The restaurant Taberna de Nino, which can be found today in the harbour of Puerto del Carmen, has quite an interesting story. It saw the light on a side street of Avenida de las Playas (c / Tanausú). A very difficult location, many locals have previously tried unsuccessfully to gain a foothold here. Irish bars, English pubs, Italian restaurants but nothing lasted here for long until Nino tried his luck.
With a lot of experience in local gastronomy, he started the dream tur run his own company. True to the motto “start small”, Nino quickly made himself a name with excellent tapas and he could be found in all tapas fairs on the island. The ingredients and the menu were constantly being refined and the customers thanked them with loyal visits to the first restaurant.
Soon afterwards he made the risky leap to a much better location. He found the ideal place for the second Taberna de Nino in the port of Puerto del Carmen. With enough space for more tables and a beautiful outdoor terrace with sea views. The great view of the sunsets over the sea is my passion. In addition, there are parking spaces directly in the harbor, so parking is easy … I like the simple things, although these are often the hardest to get.
The waiters are another pillar of the Taberna de Nino: friendly, motivated and professional. All dishes are exquisite and are beautifully presented. Whatever I order here, I like everything. Actually, there is only one disadvantage … it is relatively expensive to eat Ninos tapas, especially if you value quantity as well as quality, as is the case with me.
I never leave the Taberna hungry, but that comes at a price. That’s the only reason why I don’t eat there as often as I want to. Nino, why don’t you make menus for mileuristas that depend on your tapas?
Well, I leave my little report with that. In my opinion, it is definitely worth visiting the Taberna de Nino.
